Terry J. DuBose served in Vietnam as a 1st Lt. in 1967–68 with the 53rd General Support Group, and was Texas coordinator of the Vietnam Veterans Against the War (VVAW) in 1971–72. He is associate professor emeritus in diagnostic medical sonography at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and now lives in Austin, Texas.
We discuss the GI resistance to the War in Vietnam and the legacy of that war, the history of VVAW, the Winter Soldier investigations, and the "swiftboating" of Vietnam veteran John Kerry during the 2004 presidential elections. Terry was involved in a confrontation between swiftboaters and former members of VVAW at a symposium at the Vietnam Center at Texas Tech University in 2005.
